As an Arizona maternity photographer, it’s my job to help clients discover what they’re looking for. When you’re not familiar with the different types of sessions, it’s hard to decipher the difference between available options. All you know id that you’re pregnant, and you want pictures done; that’s where an experienced maternity photographer comes in.
What session types are there? The most common session types are in-studio, outdoors, or in your own home. What’s the difference between the three?
in-studio.
Majority of my maternity sessions take place in my Phoenix photo studio. This allows the use of difference backdrops and lighting equipment, like shown.
outdoor session.
The next style would be outdoors. Shooting your maternity session in the Arizona desert is the perfect landscape and sunset for those dreamy outdoor vibes. One thing you can count on with an outdoor Arizona maternity session, is an absolutely gorgeous sunset.
lifestyle.
The last option would be in home (or lifestyle), which is something I don’t offer. If lifestyle is your desired look, I do have a private lifestyle room in my commercial Phoenix studio.

Word of mouth is a great attribute for all businesses, but especially small businesses. This gives you an idea if it may be a good fit for you and your family.

If you’re not familiar with the photographer you’re looking at, check out their about me page. Usually they have miscellaneous information about how they started, what they specialize in, and what gear they use. This will help you determine if they’re an experienced professional, or a hobbyist.
