A Stress-Free Guide on How to Prepare for Your Phoenix Maternity Photography Session
If this is your first time doing a Phoenix maternity photography session, you probably have no idea what a maternity photography session entails. As a Phoenix Maternity Photographer it’s my job to help create a stress free experience for your session! This guide will help you learn when to book, what to wear, and how to prepare for your Phoenix maternity photo session.

When should you book?
When it comes to booking your Phoenix maternity photography session, there are some timelines I like to go by. To secure your photographer, I recommend reaching out once you’ve passed through your first trimester. The first trimester is exhausting, and a lot of times you’re not feeling great, so getting it front of the camera probably isn’t your first priority. Hitting that second trimester is game changing! You’re feeling good, and getting some energy back. This is the best time to reach out and start planning your session. As far as when the session will take place, this is going to be around the third trimester. My sweet spot is 28-33 weeks! I like this timeframe because your bump is bumpin’ but you’re not too exhausted yet. Reaching out in early second trimester gives us plenty of time to plan out your session!
What to Expect During the Maternity Session in Phoenix.
During your maternity session in Phoenix it’s my goal to make it as seamless as possible! I don’t want you to have to stress about the details of your session. Right after booking I send out a style guide, as well as a preferred list of vendors for hair and makeup! Included in your session is a complementary dress consult. This appointment is for you to come try on anything available in our client closet. Trying these on ahead of time will ensure we can get the best plan of action for your session as far as what backdrops we’re going to coordinate with each outfit you choose! The maternity session itself is roughly 45-60 minutes depending on the maternity package you choose.
