The short answer is google or social media! Both have their benefits. When you’re looking, search things like ‘Arizona Newborn Photographer‘ this is going to pull up websites and photographers who have invested in the backend of their business! The great thing with using google is you can see the reviews and other clients’ experiences with the photographer!

You can use the same tactic on social media, and it may pull up similar results. Or use the websites you obtained from google and access their pages on social media to see their most frequent work. I know I regularly post on Instagram and Facebook far more often than I’m able to update the images on my website!

What are you supposed to look for?

This is going to be subjective based on what type of session you’re looking for. But if you’re looking for an experienced newborn photographer in Arizona, you’ll want to see that their images and posing is consistent. Also, are you looking for a photographer who is really bright and airy, or darker and moodier? I tend to gravitate towards moody. I like shadows and depth in my work.

You also want to see what the photographer provides in terms of available colors and props for the session! I like to use more neutrals and earth tones. I provide all different colors, but they’re more muted in appearance. I like the focus to be on baby, and sometimes bright tones can take away from that! I do also have an entire shelving section of props available for all of my clients well as a client closet available to parents and siblings for the family portion of their session.
