how to prepare for your session
You’ve booked your Arizona dance photography session, now let’s talk about how you can prepare for the session! This next little blurb of tips will be for your dancer to help them prepare, I’ll have a separate little area for what mom can do!
As a Phoenix dancer, you’re probably familiar with warming up before class. I want you to do the same before your Phoenix dance photography session. I want you to get a good nights rest, being refreshed is extremely important to prepare for your session. Get a good stretch in, warm up those muscles before your session so all of the poses are achievable! Make sure you practice your poses, do this in a mirror so you can see exactly what I’m going to see!
Now let’s discuss how mom can help prepare for the session. You already know this is coming, but mom I want you to get everything needed for your dancer. You’re going to need costumes, tights, any necessary shoes, as well as anything needed to touch up hair and makeup between sets!

A non-refundable retainer fee is due at time of booking to secure your session date, and is applied towards your session balance.

Any location 30 miles outside of 85085 is subject to a travel fee.

You can book a session by contacting me through my website. Upon inquiry we will pick a date, and I’ll send over a booking form and deposit invoice to secure your spot.
Outfits should reflect your child’s dance style—leotards, tutus, or costume pieces work great! Solid colors and fitted styles photograph beautifully. Feel free to bring a couple of options!
Absolutely! If your child uses dance props like ribbons, pointe shoes, or hats, bring them along. I’ll guide your child through age-appropriate and skill-level-friendly poses to capture graceful, expressive images.
Dance sessions typically last 30–45 minutes, depending on your child’s energy and outfit changes. You’ll receive a proof gallery within 1-2 weeks, once your selections are made I will complete final edits!
